Wade Joseph “Joe” Hayes, age 56, of Middlesboro, Kentucky, formerly of Cumberland, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee.
He was born on March 24, 1965, in Harlan County, KY, unto the union of the late, Glen Tye, SR and Gloria Jean Birman Hayes. Joe believed in the Church of God faith and was a Block mason for Green Construction Company.
He is preceded in death by his brothers, Glen Tye, Raymond and Ronnie Hayes.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Francis Shepherd Hayes of Middlesboro, daughters, Tonya Harris of Middlesboro, Tina Belt of Cumberland, stepson, Tony Harris of Cumberland, brothers, Paul (Tammy Johnson) Hayes of Cumberland, Johnny (Susan Davis) Hayes of Evarts, sister, Christine (Bob) Napier of Wallins, seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be held Saturday, August 7, 2021, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Cumberland Valley Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be conducted Sunday, August 8, 2021, at 1 p.m. with Rev. Jerry Epperson officiating.
Burial will follow in the Peaceful Acres Cemetery at Hiram, KY.
Pallbearers are Mark Epperson, Daniel Magana, Jacob Harris, Andy Webb, Willie Cook, Tony Harris, Dalton Combs and Paul Hayes.
