Thomas "Tom" Michael Soltess

Thomas “Tom” Michael Soltess, age 64, of Benham, Kentucky, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, November 25, 2022.

He was born on July 28, 1958, unto the union of his late parents, Michael and Helen Palko Soltess in Lynch, Kentucky.   He was retired from the Harlan County Justice Center, where he served as maintenance supervisor.  Tom was also an electrician and member of the Church of the Resurrection in Lynch, Kentucky.   He enjoyed fishing for crappie, working to provide for his family and was known to be an awesome cook.  He loved the most, spending time with his family, especially his grandson. 
Tom was a good man, a joy to be around, always smiling, and eager to help anyone.   This world was blessed to have had such a great guy, if even for just a little while. 

Left to cherish his memory, loving and devoted wife, Sandra Kay Soltess of Benham, Kentucky, sons, Andy (Bri) Soltess of Cumberland, Kentucky, Eric Soltess of Richmond, Kentucky, daughter, Brittany (Ethan) McKnight of Richmond, Kentucky, brother, Joe Soltess of Cumberland, Kentucky, sisters, Diane Ball of Kingsport, Tennessee, Cathy Sweazy of Raleigh, North Carolina, Joanne Monhollen and Mary Stallard, both of Knoxville, Tennessee, and one precious grandson, Samuel Rick McKnight of Richmond, Kentucky.

In following Tom’s wishes, there will be no services at this time.
