Stacy Doranda Houser

Stacy Doranda Houser, age 31 of Lynch, Kentucky, passed away following a tragic act on Thursday, March 23, 2023, in Cumberland, Kentucky.
 

She was born on May 29, 1991, in Big Stone Gap, Virginia.  She was a graduate of Harlan County High School, where she played softball and was a member of the Beta Club.   She spent several summers as a lifeguard at the Lynch Country Club.   She received her associate degree at the Southeast Community and Technical College.   Stacy had worked as a cashier at the Family Dollar Store and as a seamstress at the S.E.K.R.I. Factory.   She took a lot of pride in her job and always strived to do her best.

Stacy enjoyed spending time with her friends, traveling, listening to music, swimming, and trips to the beach, but most importantly, making memories with her son and her parents. Though Stacy’s life was cut short, she lived it fully and with intention, she had her own style and lived her life unapologetically.  She had a loving personality, a whimsical attitude and the brightest of smiles.  She felt like, you only have one life to live, so live it up!   She still had so much life to live and love to give.   Her favorite flower was the Daisy which is very fitting, since it means, loyalty, joy and cheerfulness, the exact definition of Stacy.  Her memory will live on through the eyes of her child, but our hearts will be forever broken and will take an eternity to mend.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving, devoted parents, Kevin Lee and Judy Rice Houser, her amazing son, Zyaire Houser all of Lynch, Kentucky, her dog and fur baby companion, Cayden Scotch, a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, beginning at 2 p.m. at the Cumberland Valley Funeral Home.
