Spicie Shields, age 72 of Cumberland, Kentucky, departed this life on Tuesday, February 23, 2021, at the Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital.
She was born unto the union of the late Saint Elmo and Gladys Gibson Holland in Pinetop, Kentucky.
Spicie believed in the Pentecostal Faith and was a member of the Boggs Hollow House of Prayer.
She loved gardening, four wheeling and most of all spending time with her family. She had a wonderful spirit and radiating personality.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Bob.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, sons, Billy Joe Lewis and James Lewis both of Cumberland, Kentucky, daughter, Thelma (Joe) Boggs of Blair, Kentucky, brothers, David Holland of Pinetop, Kentucky, George Holland of Benham, Kentucky, Jimmy (Shelia) Holland of Partridge, Kentucky, James (Emma) Holland of Lynch, Kentucky, sisters, Enda Burton of Partridge, Kentucky, Abbie (Daniel) Fernandez of Waterford, Michigan, best friend, Geneva Elkins, eleven grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren, relatives and friends.
A private family visitation will begin at 12 noon, Thursday, February 25, 2021 at the Cumberland Valley Funeral Home.
Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in the West Lawn Cemetery in Cumberland, KY.
Pallbearers will be: Billy Joe Lewis, James Lewis, John Maggard, Joseph Boggs, JR, Joseph Boggs, SR and David Holland, JR.
Anyone attending Funeral Service, as mandated by the Governor and CDC, is required to wear a mask or some form of facial covering and practice social distancing, fifty percent of the buildings occupancy is all that is allowed.
