Sherry Lynn Fields

Sherry Lynn Fields, age 64, of Gordon, Kentucky, passed away from this life on Monday, July 15th, 2024, at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital in Whitesburg, Kentucky.

She was born on August 29, 1959, into the union of her late parents, James and Barbara Cornett Lewis.   Sherry enjoyed fishing, watching her favorite television shows, and spending time with her family.    She had a happy, friendly personality.  She was always trying to give people clothes or anything she thought they might need.  She was a wonderful cook and her stuffed peppers were the best thing ever.  She cooked with love and it showed.    Her presence on this earth will be missed for many years to come, but her memory will last an eternity. 

She leaves to cherish her memory, devoted, loving husband, Rufus Fields, daughter, Angela (Garland) Gilliam of Somerset, Kentucky, son, Joshua Seals and fiancé Porshia Hall of Gordon, Kentucky, brothers, Mark (Christina) Lewis of Gordon, Kentucky, Randy (Sharon) Lewis of Paris, Kentucky, Jason Lewis of Gordon, Kentucky, grandchildren, Dakota (Cassandra) Gilliam, Haley, Dylan, Connor Gilliam, and great grandchild, Melody Gilliam, special nephew, Brandon Lewis, her fur babies, Zoey and Big Foot.

Celebration of Life will be held Friday, July 19, 2024, beginning at 5 p.m. with services starting at 6 p.m. at the Cumberland Valley Funeral Home with Elder Glenn Cornett officiating.
