Sharon Lewis Obituary

Sharon L. Lewis age 67, of Lynch, Kentucky, entered the Kingdom of Heaven on Tuesday, May 14th, 2024, at the Hazard Appalachian Regional Hospital with her loving husband by her side.

She was born in Lynch on March 23, 1957, to the union of her late parents, Carl and Eula Begley Reynolds.

Sharon had worked as produce manager for Cas Walker’s Grocery Store many years ago.  She became a custodian for the Southeast Community College, worked at both water plants for the cities of Benham and Cumberland, and lastly at The Miner’s Market in Lynch, Kentucky with her husband, Terry.   Sharon loved the Lord and attended the Cumberland Church of God when her health allowed.  She was an amazing cook, known for her backyard barbecues and pool parties, she loved to make sure everyone enjoyed themselves and got their fill of good food and good times.   Sharon enjoyed fishing at the park, socializing on Facebook, working her word puzzle books, congregating with her church family, spending quality time with family and her dog, Sadie Mae, making memories with her pride and joy, great granddaughter, Lilah.

Late in the evening, you would see Sharon and Terry going on their evening drive, it didn’t matter where they went, if they were together.   It was their quality time she looked forward to every day.    Sharon will forever be missed for her wonderful conversations, shared wisdom, infectious smile and laughter, warm embraces and her honesty.  She told it like it was because she loved you.   No one person could ever take her place, for Sharon was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and an amazing friend.   Our community has lost such an amazing lady, but our loss is Heaven’s gain for to be absent from this body is to present with the Lord.

Sharon is also preceded in death by her brother, Wayne Reynolds.

She leaves to celebrate her life, devoted husband, Terry Lewis and daughter, Crystal Lewis both of Lynch, Kentucky, loving sisters, Judy (Darrell) Caudill of Oven Fork, Kentucky, Vicilla (Winston) Yeary of Lynch, Kentucky, Veria “Cookie” (Bill) Baldwin of Cumberland, Kentucky, brother, Bo Reynolds of Benham, Kentucky, granddaughter, Sabrina (Robbie) Franks of Carlisle, Kentucky, great granddaughter, Lilah Danielle Leigh Franks, sister-in-law, Betty Reynolds of Lynch, Kentucky, her precious fur baby, Sadie Mae, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 25th, 2024, at the Cumberland Valley Funeral Home beginning at 1 p.m. with Rev. Jacob Doyle officiating.
