Rodney Chandler Stacey, entered eternal rest on December 24, 2019, at his residence.
He was born in Jeffersonville, Indiana on April 16, 1948, unto the union
of Harry and Kathleen Stacey. He was a 1965 graduate of Loyal High School. He attended
Western Kentucky and later transferred to the University of Kentucky, where he obtained his
Pharmacy degree. Rodney was a successful pharmacist with many businesses established
throughout his career. He was elected onto the National Board of Pharmacy and held
the title of President on the State Board of Pharmacy. He was a Kentucky Colonel,
Deacon and choir member of the Greater Mt. Sinai Baptist Church. He later retired in his hometown of
Cumberland, Kentucky, where he lived until his passing.
He is preceded in death by his father, Harry Stacey, his late wife, Carolyn and daughter, April Flynn Stacey.
He is survived by his wife, Sue, mother, Mildred Kathleen Stacey, children, Laura, Scott and Jason Stacey, Brooks Overton, brother, Charles “Randy” Stacey, grandchildren, Allysa Stacey, Jackson Bird and Joshua Kennon.
Visitation will be held Saturday, December 28, 2019, from 1 p.m. up until the funeral hour of 2 p.m. at the Greater Mt. Sinai Baptist Church with Rev. Ronnie Hampton officiating.
Graveside services will be held Monday, December 30, 2019, at 11 a.m. at Resthaven Cemetery at Keith, Kentucky.
