Robert Eugene Sumpter

Robert Eugene Sumpter, age 52, of Wallins, Kentucky, passed from this life on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at the Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital.   
He was born on June 1, 1969, unto the union of the late Eugene and Burma Simpson Sumpter.
He was a retired shipping clerk for S.E.K.R.I.   Robert was a member of the Boggs Hollow House of Prayer.  He loved spending time with his family, traveling, was an avid UK basketball & Dallas Cowboys fan.  He enjoyed NASCAR racing and fishing.  He will be missed greatly.

Preceding him in death is sister, Melissa Sumpter.
 

He leaves to mourn his passing, wife, Kandy Boggs Sumpter of Wallins, KY, daughters, Kaitlyn Sumpter of Danville, KY, Kandace Spicie Boggs of Wallins, KY, Father and Mother-in-law, Rev. Joe and Thelma Boggs of Cumberland, KY., sisters, Shannon (David) Fernandez and Faith (Allen) Simpson all of Dayhoit, KY, special nephew, Patrick Sumpter of Loyall, KY, a host of nieces, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Sunday, February 27, 2022, at 2 p.m. at the Cumberland Valley Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Joe Boggs officiating.

Burial will follow in the Boggs Cemetery in Blair, KY with Jimmy Holland, Alvin Elkins, Joesph Patrick, Patrick Sumpter, James Lewis and Joe Boggs serving as pallbearers.
