Richard Lynn Pickett

Richard Lynn Pickett, age 79, passed away April 2, 2026, in Cumberland, Kentucky. He was born in Hazard on December 31, 1946, and had lived there most of his life.

Richard enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1965. He was a highly decorated combat veteran of the Vietnam Conflict. 

Richard was buried with Formal Military Honors at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery South East in Hyden, Kentucky on April 8th, 2026.
