Richard Earl Cornett

Richard Earl Cornett, age 59, of Cumberland, Kentucky, passed from this life in the early morning hours of Sunday, February 21, 2021, at the Harlan ARH after a long illness.
He was born unto the union of the late RayDean and Margaret Joyce Shepherd Cornett in Chicago, Illinois.  He believed in the Baptist faith and had worked as a long haul truck driver for many years with Super Service and also as a bus driver for the Letcher County Board of Education.   Richard loved to travel, being outdoors and was a fan of all Kentucky Athletics.   He was a good provider.  

Richard is preceded in death by granddaughter, Sarah Elisabeth Daflucas.

He leaves behind his wife, Marietta Cornett of Cumberland, KY, son, Richard J. Cornett of Cumberland, KY, daughters, Natasha Cornett of Cumberland, KY, Kellie Daflucas of Virginia, brothers, Michael Cornett of San Antonio, Texas, John Cornett of Whitesburg, KY, sisters, Jessie Smith of Nancy, KY and Judith Boggs of Whitesburg, KY.  A host of other relatives and friends are left to mourn his passing.

In following Richard's wishes, there will be no services at this time.
