Reda Mae Lewis age 61, of Cumberland, Kentucky entered eternal rest on Thursday,
October 20, 2022, at the Hazard Appalachian Regional Hospital with loving family by her side.
She was born on June 5, 1961, unto the union of the late Floyd and Chelca Shepherd Lewis in Harlan, Kentucky.
Reda believed in the Pentecostal faith, enjoyed traveling, and spending time with family.
Most people knew her as manager of the Family Dollar Store in Cumberland, Kentucky, where she worked 30 years of dedicated service until retiring.
If one asked, “Who was Reda Lewis?” The answer would be easy. She was a giver, a nurturer, and care-taker. Her very essence was helping others, especially her own family. Her heart was full of love and her spirit brought joy to those around her. She may be gone from our sight, but she will remain in our hearts forever.
She is preceded in death by brothers, James, David, Teddy, Larry, and Aster Lewis, nephews, Lil’ Jimmy and Leon Lewis, niece, Angela Smith.
She leaves to cherish her memory, sister, Shirley Smith of Bristol, Tennessee, brothers, Charles Lewis of Cumberland, Kentucky, Terry (Sharon) Lewis of Lynch, Kentucky, nephews, Rocky, Danny, Allen Lewis, nieces, Christy, Chelca, Tammy, Elsie, Donna, Crystal, a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life will take place Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at 1 p.m. at the Bullock Overlook in the Kingdom Come State Park at 502 Park Road, Cumberland, KY.
