Polly Widner

Polly Widner, age 81 of Cumberland, Kentucky, passed from this life on Friday, August 21, 2015, at the Tri-Cities Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility.

Polly was a native of Cumberland, KY. She was a mid-wife and worked for the Senior Citizen Center. She spent her life bringing new life into the world and taking care of everyone else. Now Jesus has taken her home......

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, John Widner, Father and Mother, Vester and Mini Belle Shepherd and several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her seven children: Anna M. (Gary) Hill of Murfreesboro, Tennessee & Freida Lobaugh of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Jerry L. Widner of Cumberland, KY, Lonnie Dean (Edith) Widner of Partridge, KY, Ronnie Widner of Cumberland, KY, Maryolan C. (Brian) Cummings of Partridge, KY and Amy (Ken) Depenhart of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, one brother, Alfred Shepherd of Cumberland, KY, grandchildren, Patricia J. Sokolowski, Leena Ison, Casey Hill, Krissy Widner, Sabrina Cummings Hall, Michelle Widner, Jonathan Taylor, Amanda Widner and great grandson, John John Tinkham.

Visitation will be Monday, August 24th, from 6-8 p.m. at the Cumberland Valley Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 25th, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Eddie Day officiating.
Burial will be in the Peaceful Acres Cemetery at Hiram, KY.
