It is with great sadness that we must announce the passing of Mrs. Pat Williams-Disney. She passed peacefully on the 22nd of December at the Hazard Appalachian Regional Hospital, following a brief illness.
She was a resident of Cumberland and was 81 years young.
Pat was born on October 20, 1941, in Daisy, Kentucky, unto the union of her late parents, Worley and Ethel Williams Cress. She had been the owner and operator of Williams T.V. and Record Shop, until retiring. She believed in the Baptist faith and was a member of the Cumberland Missionary Baptist Church in Cumberland, Kentucky.
Pat enjoyed quilting, making candy, watching Hallmark movies and game shows. She was also known for being an avid user of Facebook Messenger. It seemed that if one was feeling down, depressed or maybe lonely, Pat always sent a beautiful sentiment by messenger at just the right time that made you feel as if someone had embraced you with a warm hug. She was a loving, caring lady. She loved Christmas and looked forward to all the decorations, lights, Christmas carols, presents and gathering of all the family. She will truly be missed but her memory will carry on in the hearts of her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her late husband, Jesse Disney, sister, Carolyn Sue Combs.
She leaves to mourn her passing, companion, Howard Williams of Viper, Kentucky, daughters, Sue Bird of Cumberland, Kentucky, Ann (Lynn) Lay of Bean Station, Tennessee, son, Gordon Williams of the Philippines, brother, Forester Cress of Navarre, Florida, sister, Mildred Smith of Cumberland, Kentucky, grandchildren, Brooks Lynne Overton (Jackson and Josh) of Mt.
