Pamela Sue Collins, 65, of Cumberland, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at her residence on Thursday, October 9th, 2025, surrounded by her family. Born October 22, 1959, she was the daughter of the late Horst and Opal Smith Scheloske.
Pamela was a devoted homemaker who took great pride in her German and Cherokee Indian heritage. She had a passion for word puzzles, cherished family gatherings, and wasn't shy about being the center of attention. Known affectionately as "Little Granny," Pamela was anything but typical, she loved her coffee strong, her horror movies thrilling, and her rides on Harley Davidson motorcycles exhilarating. She spoke her mind without hesitation and served as the beloved Matriarch of her family.
In addition to her parents, Pamela was preceded in death by her husband, James Collins, Sr., and her sisters, Nemora Stidham and Kathy Spencer.
She is survived by her son, James Collins, Jr.; daughter, Michelle Collins; grandchildren, Jordan and Opal Collins; two great-grandchildren; her significant other of 35 years, Roger Stidham; sisters, Patty (Alvin Young) Bowling, Sherry Cornett, Karen (David) Scott, and Crystal (Shawn) Crider; her beloved fur babies, Tinkerbell and Cosmo; and a host of other relatives and friends.
There will be no services at this time.
Cumberland Valley Funeral Home is Honored to Serve the Collins Family.
