Myrtle Anne Carr passed onto her heavenly home on Monday, February 12, 2018. She was born in Naples, Italy on October 4, 1945. Anne graduated with a BA from the University of Kentucky and a MA from Eastern Kentucky University. She also studied abroad at Oxford University. She was an avid reader and loved to travel. Her adventures took her to various places in Europe, Africa and the United States. She received many acknowledgements for her dedication as an educator and public servant. Anne was a KY Colonel, an inductee of the Lynch Walk of Legends, winner of the NISOD Award, recipient of the Tri-City Chamber of Commerce Golden Apple Award and a member of the Lynch City Council for several terms.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Eugene Carr, Rita and Steve Bagony, SR, and beloved aunt, Maria Tizzano.
She is survived by her precious sister, Suzanne Catherine Bagony of Lynch, KY, brother, George (Carolyn) Bagony, SR, nephew, George Andrew (Paula) Bagony, JR and daughter, Sydney, niece, Crystal Judy (Ernie) and daughter, Scarlett, also surviving are the many students she taught in addition to the faculty and friends of Southeast Community College, where she taught for forty years and members of the Church of the Resurrection.
