Myrna Joyce Lee was born to Claudia Walker-Cole in the year of our Lord on April 17,1961 at Benham Hospital in Benham, Kentucky. She attended Benham Elementary and Cumberland High School in Kentucky to complete her secondary education. At Cumberland High School she excelled in both academics as well as sports. Myrna graduated with honors as one of the top students in the class of 1979. She attended Southeast Community College in Cumberland, Ky where she completed her study of Phlebotomy with honors. Myrna also completed her study through the ASCP Board of Certification, became a Licensed Laboratory Technician, and worked in a variety of medical facilities in Pineville and Barbourville, Ky, and Wise, Va. During this time, she married and started a family. In 1993 she and her family moved to Atlanta, Georgia where she was able to continue her career as a Phlebotomist while working for Quest Diagnostics and Clinical Pathology Laboratories. While in Georgia, she was able to expand her career by becoming an expert in Billing and Coding, as well as obtaining her Real Estate License.
Myrna Lee was preceded in death by her brother, Randall Walker and her sister, Senetha Anderson. She leaves behind her mother, Claudia Cole; three children: Shaun Henderson, Kamillia Lee and Tyryse Lee; her sister, Elayn Walker; four brothers: Wayne Henderson, Bruce Henderson (Wanda), Patrick Walker (Roan) and Anthony Walker; nieces: Tykesha Henderson-Merriweather (Tony), Aleia Walker and Alana Walker; nephews: Jerry Massey Jr., Rashad Henderson, Jamahrae Henderson, Wayne Melton Jr., Ryan Walker, Tyrees Smith, Juwan Walker and a host of other family and friends.
At the age of 61, Myrna Lee went home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ early May 11, 2022.
Family and Friends may attend her visitation on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 10 A.M. with Funeral services following at 11 A.M. at the Cumberland Valley Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in the D.L. Creech Cemetery in Cumberland, KY.
