Melvin Gilliam

Melvin Gilliam, age 87, passed away at the Pikeville Medical Center on Sunday, January 1st, 2017. He was born November 2, 1929, in Letcher County, Kentucky unto the union of the late John and Martha (Cornett) Gilliam.

Melvin is preceded in death by his wife, Marie Gilliam, brothers; Otis Gilliam and Bethal Gilliam, sisters; Gertrude Hall and Addie Bridgeforth.

He is survived by his three brothers, Estill and Harrison Gilliam of Cumberland, Kentucky, and Garland Gilliam of Gordon, Kentucky, one sister, Marguerita Counts of Rockford, Illinois and a special sister-in-law, Doris Gilliam of Gordon, Kentucky.

There will be no services at this time.
