Melissa "Missy" Darlene Austin

Melissa "Missy" Darlene Austin, age 53 of Cumberland, KY, entered eternal rest on Thursday, June 3, 2021, at her residence.  She was born unto the union of the late Joe and Brenda Johnson Letanosky.

Missy, as most knew her, was a complete joy to be around.  She always looked for the bright side of any situation.   She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, but she loved her grandchildren with all her heart.

She is preceded in death by her brothers, Jamie and Ronald "PeeWee" Austin, grandchild, Breeland Mendoza.

Left to cherish her memory, daughters, Erika (JR) Letanosky of Ashland, KY, Bria (Brian) Letanosky of Cumberland, KY, stepdaughter, Lettia Halcomb of Oak Ridge, Tennessee, Ashley (Patrick) Shepherd of Roxana, KY, stepson, Shade Halcomb of Kingscreek, KY, her companion, Marvin Halcomb of Cumberland, KY, grandchildren, Russell, Kash, Ryder, Blaze, Olivia, Camden, Khilen, KeiraLynn, Cayzen, Dakota, Daylen, Keiona, Kragen, Jacob, and Camron, special friends, Kimberly Owens and Juliana Ellington, a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 5, 2021, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Cumberland Valley Funeral Home.
