Lizzie Mae Henery

Lizzie Mae Henery, age 92, of Cumberland, Kentucky passed away Thursday, March 2, 2023, with her loving family by her side. 

Lizzie Mae was born on June 30, 1930, unto the union of the late Billy Ray and Celia McKinney Murray.
She believed in the Pentecostal faith and loved her family.  She was well known in the area for her work as a housekeeper and childcare provider.  She enjoyed a good conversation while making her daily walk, running her errands.  Lizzie was known for being a “Spirited Lady."   If you didn’t want her opinion, then it was best not to ask.  She could be brutally honest in her own loving way.  She had a passion for being outdoors and enjoyed God’s creations as much as possible.   She lived life with no regrets and made no apologies, she was a “Little Spit Fire,” that has left memories to last forever.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles H. Henery, children, Doris Ann Brown, Charles Edward Henery, Robert Leighton Henery, Carl Douglas Henery, Carolyn Sue Henery, Charles Michael Henery, brother, Robert Murray, sisters, Dorothy Lee Murray and Sarah Ingram Ison.

Lizzie leaves to cherish her memories, daughter, Ariel Brianna Anderson of Cumberland, Kentucky, sister, Ruby Whisman of Texas, special granddaughter and care givers, Lisa (Clint) Posey, Sean (Ashley) Henery, Allie and Brody Henery, ten grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, fifteen great great-grandchildren, a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, March 6, 2023, at 1 p.m. at Maggard-Creech Cemetery, Cumberland, Kentucky with Brother Billy Lewis officiating.
