Linda Marie (Sconce) Cornett

Linda Marie Sconce Cornett, age 73, of Cumberland, KY, entered her Heavenly home on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at the Hazard Appalachian Regional Hospital.   She was born in Lynch, KY unto the union of the late John William and Sally Marie Rice Sconce.

She is preceded in death by her brother, Doug Sconce and sister, Lorna Sconce.

Linda was the business manager for her son at Brad’s Garage where she scheduled appointments, greeted customers with her big smile and all things in between!

Linda was a faithful member of the Lewis Creek Pentecostal Church and when she wasn’t working or attending church, you could find her sitting on her houseboat at Cherokee Lake watching the ducks or fishing.  She enjoyed swimming and feeding hummingbirds, and as a pastime, watching wreath making videos. What trumped all these fun things and her most treasured thing to do, was to spend time with her family, especially the grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She was a loving, devoted wife and mother with a caring heart as big as the sun.  She always tried to help feed and rehome any stray animals. Linda was a beloved member of the Tri-City area community.

She is survived by her loving husband, Arvil, son, Brad (Kim) Cornett, grandchildren, Dylan (Dacey) Cornett, Hunter Cornett, great grandchildren, Kylee, Kinnon and Kylan Cornett, sister-in-law, Pat Sconce, and special nephew, John (Janet) Jones.

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 6, 2022, from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2022, with the Rev. Ron Oplinger officiating. All services will be conducted from the Lewis Creek Pentecostal Church, 132 Knotty Pine Road, Partridge, KY.
Burial will follow in the Peaceful Acres Cemetery in Hiram, KY.
Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.
