Johnny Terry, age 71, of Blair, KY passed peacefully at his home on Sunday, October 2, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 17, 1951, unto the union of his parents, the late Fred and Geraldine Sumpter Terry in Whitesburg, Kentucky.
Johnny was a retired coal miner for U.S. Steel and Arch of Kentucky. He believed in the Pentecostal faith and enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening but was known for being a collector of Hart Tools, guns, and knives. He loved more than anything, spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He leaves to cherish his memory, devoted and loving wife, Karen Maggard Terry, daughter, Joni Terry and fiancé Waylon Simpson, step-daughters, Karrie (Brian) Johnson, Kendra North and fiancé Shawn Daniels, step sons, Scotty (Jerri) Fields, David (Lark) McMillian-Fields, Shane (Jessica) North, brothers, Freddy (Jeannie) Terry, Jerry Terry, sisters, Patty (Jack) Dunn, Sharon Hartsock, Merissa (Dale) White, Debbie (John) Chaffins, Freida Bailey, Brenda Terry, Marcia Terry, thirteen grandchildren, one great grandchild, special granddaughter, Kaitlyn Fields, whom he raised as his own, a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 5, 2022, from 12 noon until 2 p.m. at the Cumberland Valley Funeral Home with Funeral Services following at 2 p.m. with Rev. Tommy Dotson officiating.
Burial will follow in the Terry Family Cemetery at Partridge, KY.
Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.
