Johnny Gerald Deal, Jr, age 49, known by family and friends as "JoJo" passed away at his residence in Cumberland, Kentucky on Thursday, June 30, 2022.
He is the son of Johnny Gerald, Sr. and Jeanette Dollarhide Deal. He was born on June 30, 1973, in Whitesburg, Kentucky. He believed in the Pentecostal faith and attended the Blair Pentecostal Church, when his health permitted. He worked as a welder and metal fabricator for Cumberland Mine Service until his health declined. He loved to fish more than anything else but enjoyed watching a good game of basketball or baseball. He was very talented at construction work and could build anything you could imagine. JoJo had a heart of gold and as big as the moon, he would do anything to help anyone. His departing has left a void in the hearts of his family and friends, but his memory will forever live on.
Left to mourn his passing, other than his parents, daughter, Kayla (Josh) Howard of Virginia, sister, Misty Ann Deal of Corbin, Kentucky, fiancé, Alicia Shepherd of Cumberland, Kentucky, a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Saturday, July 2, 2022, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Cumberland Valley Funeral Home.
