Johnetta Thompson

Johnetta Thompson was born on May 27, 1939. She is the daughter of Major and Leona Brown in Lynch Kentucky. She entered into eternal peace surrounded by her family on February 22, 2016, at Sentra Princess Anne Hospital, Virginia Beach, VA.

Johnetta is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Rev. Calvin Thompson; sisters, Rose Brown, Ann Peterson, Shirley Brown; brothers, Major Brown Jr., James Brown, and Marvin Brown.

Her celebration of life will be remembered by her two step-children, Monique Thompson and Derrick Jackson. Johnetta also has two step-granddaughters, Brittany Thompson and Kiarra Thompson; two step-great grandchildren, Taniyah Thompson and Romell Thompson. Johnetta leaves siblings; Richard Brown (Arnita), Larry Brown (Patricia), Tyrone Brown, Mary Akal, Juanita Brown, Linda Brown, Charlene Hicks (John), Geraldine Kirkland, Viola Brown, and Cynthia Harrington (Roger), many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and many many friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, February 27, 2016, beginning at 12 noon at the Mt. Sinai Baptist Church in Lynch, KY.

Funeral Services will follow at 1 p.m., with Rev. Ronnie Hampton officiating.

Burial will follow in the Monte Vista Cemetery in Cumberland, KY.
