John Wesley Brown, Jr. Obituary

John Wesley Brown, Jr. was born January 23, 1984, in Harlan County, Kentucky. He was the son of John Wesley Brown, Sr. of Englewood, Tennessee and Lisa Baker of Somerset, Kentucky. He was united in marriage to Briana Bowman Brown, who survives of Lily, Kentucky. He is also survived by his two children, Karissa Brown and Aspen Brown both of Lily; four siblings, Kaylee Rassenfoss and husband Noah of Georgetown, Kentucky, Whitley Brown, Chancelor Brown, and Chaz Brown all of Calhoun, Georgia; stepfather, Virgil Cantrell of Georgetown, Kentucky, a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. 

He was a veteran of the United States Army, a deputy sheriff at the Laurel County Sheriff Department and a member of Locust Grove Christian Church. He loved spending time with his family, serving the Lord, and serving his community. He was a son, husband, father, brother, and friend. He will truly be missed by all who knew him.

John Wesley Brown, Jr. departed this life Thursday, December 26, 2024, being 40 years, 11 months, and 3 days of age.  

Visitation will be at Bowling Funeral Home in London, Kentucky beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, December 29th until the funeral service hour of 1:00 p.m. with Rob Hale and Larry Baker, Jr. officiating.


Burial will follow in the Peaceful Branch Cemetery at Gordon, Kentucky around 3 p.m.
