Jimmy Dale "BO" Smith

Jimmy Dale “BO” Smith, age 76 of Cumberland, Kentucky, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at his residence with his loving wife by his side. 
He was born at Pine Mountain Hospital on January 20, 1946, unto the union of his late parents, Lawrence and Isabelle Lewis Smith.   He was a retired coal truck driver for Presley Trucking in Norton, Virginia.  After his retirement, he enjoyed hauling gravels, logs and heavy machinery.   He believed in the Baptist faith, enjoyed western television shows and gun trading.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandparents, Carter Lewis, Nancy Lewis, Jason Smith, brother, Richard Smith and wife, Brenda, sister, Delores Smith Lunsford and two infant siblings, Jackie and Lois.

He leaves to honor his memory, wife, Brenda Mullins Smith, his beloved fur baby, Sheba, step-son, Brad (Heather) Mullins of Kenvir, KY, step-grandson, Anthony Mullins of Evarts, KY, sister, Minnie (Jerry) Beasley of Lexington, KY, brothers, Curtis (Betty) Smith of Cumberland, KY, Raymond (Kim) Smith of Maynardville, TN, Jerry (Mary Lou) Smith, Roger (Debbie) Smith all of Monticello, KY, brother-in-law, George Lunsford of Richmond, KY, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, special friends, Dean (Tracy) Devore, Jimmy (Karen) Mullins, Edna Mack.

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m., Thursday, August 25, 2022, with Funeral Services at 7 p.m. with Rev. Mark Turner officiating at the  Cumberland Valley Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held Friday, August 26, 2022, at 11 a.m. at the Peaceful Acres Cemetery at Hiram, KY.
Anyone wanting to follow in procession to cemetery, should meet at the funeral home by 10:45 a.m.
