Jerry Lee (Jr. (JL)) Massey

Jerry Lee Massey, Jr. (JL) was born to Senetha Ann Henderson and Jerry Lee Massey, Sr., in the year of our Lord on June 20, 1982, at Harlan Hospital in Harlan, KY.

He attended Park Lakes Elementary School in Fort Lauderdale, FL. and Coral Springs Middle School in Coral Springs, FL.  After his family moved to Georgia, he attended Mt. Zion High School in Jonesboro, GA.

Jerry was active in sports, such as Basketball and Football.  During his senior year of high school, he was in a near fatal accident which left him paralyzed.  A few years following his accident, he attended and completed a GED Diploma Program and College Prep Courses.  

He worked at Fort McPherson U.S. Army Military Base located in Atlanta, GA.

Jerry Lee Massey, Jr. (JL) was preceded in death by his mother, Senetha Ann Henderson, uncles, Randall Walker, Donald Massey, Fredrick Massey, Ronnie Massey and aunt, Myrna Lee.

He leaves behind to mourn his passing, father, Jerry Lee (Audrey) Massey, Sr., his grandmother, Claudia Cole, sister, Tykesha (Tony) Henderson-Merriweather, his special friend, JoAnna Barnett, Wayne Melton, Jr., and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and friends.

At the age of 40, JL went home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on September 10, 2022.

Visitation will be held Saturday, September 17, 2022, beginning at 11 a.m. at the Greater Mt. Sinai Baptist Church with Funeral Services following at 12 noon with Ronnie Hampton officiating.
