Jeannie Takesha “Kush” Vanzant, age 39, of Leatherwood, KY, passed from this life on Friday, June 19, 2020.
Jeannie was born on June 30, 1980, in Hazard, KY, unto the union of Oliver D. “Ringo” and Imogene Lewis Vanzant.
Jeannie had a love for riding horses, listening to her favorite music, riding four wheelers and spending time outdoors and believed in the Church of Christ faith.
She was always known for making everyone laugh with her uplifting personality and smile.
Jeannie loved her children, her family and life in general. She has left this world a little brighter for having had her in it.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Oliver Benjamin Vanzant, grandparents, Frank and Flossie Vanzant.
Other than her parents, she leaves to mourn her passing, children, Hailey Casondra and Andrew Tyler Joseph, grandparents, Munyean Campbell, Benny and Carolyn Lewis, sisters, Misty Christina Vanzant Slone, Olivia Janelle Vanzant, nephew, Zeb Caldwell, nieces, Hannah and Katelyn Caldwell.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 24, 2020, at the Cumberland Valley Funeral Home from 11 A.M. until the Funeral Hour at 2 P.M. with Rev. Freddie Coots officiating.
Burial will follow in the Vanzant Family Cemetery in Rockholds, KY.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
In following with the CDC compliance and State recommended guidelines on all Funeral Services, there will be allowed 50% of our buildings occupancy capacity and social distancing must be maintained at a 6 ft. distance.
