Jason Michael Crase, age 49, passed away unexpectedly on November 21, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of culinary artistry, warmth, and love that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.

Born on July 28, 1976, Jason was the cherished son of the late Tilden "Jay" Crase and Lynda Helton Crase of Cumberland, Kentucky. From an early age, Jason possessed a creative spirit and a passion that would eventually lead him to pursue his dreams at the prestigious Culinary Institute in Chicago, Illinois. There, he honed his natural talents and emerged as a skilled chef with an extraordinary gift for creating mouthwatering masterpiece dishes that brought joy to everyone, fortunate enough to taste his creations.

Jason's culinary journey was taking him to an exciting new position in California, but true to his loving nature, he chose to stop in Kentucky first to spend precious time with his family, to share laughter and stories, and to create memories that now shine even brighter in their absence. His dedication to both his craft and his family revealed the depth of his character: a man who understood that success means nothing without the people you love by your side.
A man of Christian faith with a vibrant personality, Jason had a way of lighting up a room. He approached his work with the same passion and care he showed his loved ones, pouring his heart into every dish he created and every relationship he nurtured.

Jason now rests in peace, reunited with his beloved wife Kelly, his father Tilden, a baby brother, and a host of other relatives who preceded him in death.

His memory will be forever cherished by his devoted mother, Lynda Crase; his sons, Luke (Dominick) Crase and Zachary (Ava Burton) Crase; his brother, Joshua (Brenda) Crase; his precious grandson, Edward Crase; and a host of other relatives and friends whose lives were touched by his kindness, talent, and love.

Though Jason's time with us was far too short, the impact he made will endure. His recipes may have delighted the palate, but it was his generous heart and beautiful soul that truly nourished those around him.

There will be no services at this time. The family asks that you keep them in your loving thoughts and prayers during this profoundly difficult time.
