Jason Johnson

Jason Johnson, age 31, of Cumberland, KY, lost his battle with brain cancer and passed from this world on June 13th, 2020 at 4:20 p.m. with his loved ones by his side.
 

Jason was an intelligent and caring man with love in his heart.  He believed in the Christian faith and loved music.   He played the drums both inside and outside of the church.    Jason was born to Dale and Ellan Boyd Johnson on August 26, 1988.

He is preceded in death by his father, Dale Johnson, along with all his grandparents.  

He leaves behind, mother, Ellan Johnson of Cumberland, KY, sisters, Reba Johnson-Lewis of Lynch, KY and Christy Gilliam of Cumberland, KY, two nieces, Adalynn Lewis, and Makayla Gilliam.  He is also survived by Christina (Rubin) Eldridge, Jessica (Anthony) Burkhart and their daughter, Brooklyn, Jeremy and Waylon Walker, Kearstyn Jones, Devin Simmons, De’Arra Simmons and Myesha Blaine, Aunts, Mary Johnson, Iva Willis, Reba Burnette, Flo Gill, Wilma Luckens and Uncle, Rev. Homer Johnson, along with a host of other family, friends and loved one’s. 

Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 16, 2020, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Cumberland Valley Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 17, 2020, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Jody Vansickle officiating.

Burial will follow in the Cornett Cemetery at Hiram, KY.

Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.

In following with the CDC compliance and State recommended guidelines on all Funeral Services, there will be allowed 33 % of our buildings occupancy capacity and social distancing must be maintained at a 6 ft. distance.
