James Vazzana, SR, age 77, of Cumberland, Kentucky, entered eternal peace on Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at the `University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, Maryland.
He was born on April 17, 1944, unto the union of the late Joseph and Mary Sexton Vazzana. He left this area to raise his family and moved to Baltimore, Maryland, where he worked and retired from Continental Plastic Containers. He returned to Cumberland for his retirement years and recently returned to Maryland, due to declining health. He was a veteran of the United States Armed Forces, where he served his country proud.
He leaves to mourn his passing, daughter, Stacey (Kevin) Vazzana Messercola of Baltimore, Maryland, son, James Vazzana, JR of Aberdeen, Maryland, grandchildren, Summer Messercola, Dylan Messercola, and Madison Vazzana.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, June 15th, 2021, at 1 p.m. at the Monte Vista Cemetery in Cumberland, KY. with Military rites provided by the Harlan Honor Guard. Father Terrance De Silva, officiating services.
