James Edward Sturgill, age 50, of Bean Station, Tennessee, formerly of Cumberland, KY, passed away suddenly on Monday, December 27, 2021, in Harrogate, Tennessee.
He was born unto the union of the late Bobby and Maggie Thacker Sturgill in Baltimore, Maryland. He was a Senior Lance Corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps and served in the Iraq War.
James was a diesel mechanic for Sextons Furniture. He enjoyed his job, fishing, and hunting. James will be missed by all.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Heather Nicole Sturgill.
Left to mourn his passing is sister, Regina (Terry) Daniels, half-sister, Rebecca Sturgill, brothers, Daniel Ray (Mary Gail) Sturgill, Robert Lee Sturgill, half-brother, Andrew Sturgill, stepdaughter, Amber Rice Holland, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Graveside Services will be held Friday, December 31, 2021, at 11 a.m. at the Maggard Cemetery in Partridge, KY.
