Irene Duncan, age 75, of Cumberland, KY, returned to her Heavenly Father on Sunday, August 30, 2020, at Pikeville Medical Center with her loving family by her side.
She was born on February 18, 1945, unto the union of the late Lloyd and Mallie Lewis in Cumberland, Kentucky.
Irene was a homemaker and a member of the Cumberland Church of God. She loved spending time with her family and talking about the Lord.
She was a loving, caring, and beautiful lady that will be missed by all that knew her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James Robert Duncan her parents and brothers; Bobby Ray, Jimmy, Billy R. Couch and Jackie David Lewis; sisters, Elsie Mae, Thelma Faye, Delores Ann Lewis and Mollie Evelyn Whitehead.
Irene leaves to cherish her memory, son; Gary (Kathy) Duncan of Cumberland, KY; daughters, Laura Ruth Duncan of Georgetown, KY, Mallie Susann (Ray) Baldwin of Cumberland, KY., Jamie Denise Duncan of Georgetown, Ky; brother, Jim Bob Holland of Partridge, Kentucky; sister-in-law, Joann Couch of Indianapolis, Indiana; eight grandchildren; Barbara, Gary Jr., Franklin, Heather and Brittany, Kassidy, Wyatt and Lilah; fourteen great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Visitation will be conducted Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. with funeral services following at 2 p.m. at Cumberland Valley Funeral Home with Rev. Jacob Doyle officiating.
Burial will be in the Sandhill Cemetery in Cumberland, KY
Pallbearers will be Jason Letendre, Ricky Fields, James Thomas, Robby Griffey, Franklin Baldwin and Ray Baldwin.
Anyone planning to attend services are asked to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
