Iona (Coots) North

Iona North, age 87, of Cumberland, Kentucky, entered the Kingdom of Heaven on Thursday, October 14, 2021, at the Tri-Cities Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Cumberland, Kentucky. 

She married the love of her life, the late Eli North on January 18, 1949.  Their love was so connected, that they shared the same date of passing.  He passed, October 14th, but in the year of 1989.  She loved spending time with her family and was known for being a wonderful cook.  She believed in the Church of Christ faith and was a precious gift to this world. 

She leaves behind to cherish her loving memory, four sons, Ronald, Roger, Lonnie, and Billy Ray North, two daughters, Sandy Soltess and Barbara Jean Keleman, brother, Rex Coots, a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and other relatives.

The family will receive friends Friday, October 15th, 2021, at 11 a.m. at the Cumberland Valley Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will begin at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Brother Glenn Cornett officiating.
Burial will follow in the Peaceful Acres Cemetery at Hiram, Kentucky.
