Ida Ellen "Miss Teddy" Eversole

Ida Ellen Eversole, affectionately known as “Miss Teddy”, age 75 of Cumberland, Kentucky, gained her angel wings and entered the Kingdom of Heaven on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on August 9, 1947, unto the union of her late parents, Noah and Edith Lewis Bailey in Hyden, Kentucky.  She believed in the Pentecostal faith and was a member of the Tri-City Pentecostal Church.  Miss Teddy was a wonderful cook, being known for her amazing potato salad.   She enjoyed life and everything it had to offer.  If one was asked to describe her, Happy, would be the only word needed.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, sewing, taking walks and admiring God’s wonderful creations.  She was a prayer warrior, reading her Bible daily, being a devoted Servant of God, wanting any and all knowledge that would help teach and guide her precious children to God’s eternal life. 
Her absence has left a void, but her memory will bless us forever.

She is preceded in death by her son, Boyd Gibson, brothers, Ralph and Coy Bailey, sister, Joyce Bailey.

She is survived by her husband, Billy Eversole, daughters, Linda (Ray) Rouse of Benham, Kentucky, Rita Jacobsen of Cumberland, Kentucky, Donna Swartness of Chattanooga, Tennessee, brothers, Herbert Bailey of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Troy Bailey of Fort Worth, Texas, sisters, Faye Dixon, Helen Lewis, and Wanda Bailey all of Cumberland, Kentucky, sixteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren and one more due in February, a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be on Friday, October 7, 2022, from 10 a.m. until the Funeral hour of 12 noon at the Tri-City Pentecostal Church in Cumberland, Kentucky with Pastor Billy Lewis officiating.

Burial will follow in the Brock Cemetery in Putney, Kentucky.

Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.
