Harold Wayne Johnson, Jr., age 47, of Cumberland, Kentucky passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 4, 2024.
He was born on May 22, 1976, to the union of Harold Wayne Johnson, Sr. and Teresa Gayle Lucas. Harold had worked as a carpenter and was skilled in construction. He was described by his family as being a serious guy with a funny side, always trying to brighten the day with a laugh or two. He enjoyed many things in life like fishing, being outdoors, traveling, raising his favorite breed of dog, Pit Bulls. Wayne was known to be a “Free Spirit” with a huge heart. More than anything, he loved his family. He will be missed.
He is preceded in death by both his parents, father Harold Wayne Johnson, Sr., mother, Teresa Gayle Lucas Trosper, son, Richard Roland Wayne Johnson, sister, April Johnson.
He leaves to mourn his passing, stepfather, Chris Trosper, his life-partner, Keirstin Hanke, son, William Russell Trosper, daughters, Megan (Tanner Handshoe) Johnson, Randi Alysha (Logan) Jackson all of Cumberland, Kentucky, Christi Wyatt of Virginia, brother, Wesley Davidson of Lynch, Kentucky, aunt, Lonnie Lucas of Whitesburg, Kentucky, his dog named “Thirty”, a host of other relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 12th, at 2 p.m. at Cumberland Valley Funeral Home with Elder Glenn Cornett officiating.
