Harold Ray Howard, age 78 of Cumberland, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital after a long illness.
He was born to the union of his late parents, Berry and Flora Morris Howard.
Harold had worked as a repairman doing maintenance and odd jobs until his health declined. He enjoyed deer and turkey hunting, ginsenging, and just being outdoors. He believed in the Pentecostal faith and loved the Lord with all his heart. He was blessed with an easy-going, kind personality. He would give you the shirt off his back. He was a caregiver to many of his late relatives, always there making sure they had what they needed. He was a loving, devoted man. He will be missed.
He is preceded in death by his brothers, Willard, Shelby and Don Howard, sisters, Elsie Watts, Emma Lou Isom, Evelyn Lawson, Margaret Collins and Marilyn Boggs.
Left to cherish his memory, nephews, Michael (Sherrie) Hogg, Tommy (Connie) Hogg, Gary (Monica) Hogg and niece, Darlene Hall, a host of other relatives and friends.
Harold had made his wishes known and in respect, there will be no public services.
He will be buried in the Morris Family Cemetery with his parents.
The Staff of Cumberland Valley Funeral Home is Honored to Serve the Howard/Hogg Family.
