Georgia (Brown) Fortner

Georgia Brown Fortner, age 73, formerly of Cumberland, Kentucky, passed from this life on Saturday, November 26, 2016, at her residence in Loganville, Georgia.

She was born on January 31, 1943, unto the union of the late Bill & Lillie Sargent Brown. She was a member of the Loganville Church of Christ in Loganville, Georgia.

She is preceded in death by her siblings; Edward, Donnie, Lonnie, Wayne and Darrell Brown, Evelyn and Imogene “Jean” Parker.

She leaves to mourn her passing, husband, Jim Fortner of Loganville, Georgia, three daughters; Jamie L. Fortner & Amy D. Fortner both of Loganville, Georgia and Jennifer G. Duran of Braselton, Georgia, two brothers, Raymond & James Monroe Brown both of Loganville, Georgia and one sister, Jenny Brown of Cumberland, Kentucky, four grandchildren also survive.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2016, from 6 – 8 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home in Lynch, KY.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, December 2, 2016, at 12 noon from the funeral home with Leonard Couch officiating.

Pallbearers will be David Duran, Myles Duran, Brian Brown, Aaron Brown, Johnathan Fortner and Allan Parker. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Grandchildren.

Burial will follow in the Monte Vista Cemetery in Cumberland, KY.
