George Bishop Boggs, age 78, of Partridge, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at his residence. He was the son of the late James Jefferson and Estelle Bibbs Boggs. He was born on December 8, 1944, in Lansing, Michigan.
George lived his life on his own accord, making no apologies to anyone for having enjoyed every minute. He was a dedicated man, having served his country in the U.S. Armed Forces. He was a self-employed carpenter by trade, but a handy man in every sense of the word. He could build anything from wood, repair any engine or motor and enjoyed any work using his hands. He enjoyed many things, such as hunting, fishing, spending time with his family, traveling and sitting back watching a good television show while eating his favorite snack, cookies. He was a man with a huge and caring heart, always going the extra mile to help someone. If he lacked in some areas, he made up for them in other ways.
He is preceded in death by his brother, James Arthur Boggs.
He leaves to cherish his memory, sister, Marsezelle Davis of Partridge, Kentucky, niece, Krissy (Tim) Gibbs, grand nieces, Emily and Abby Gibbs all of Partridge, Kentucky, and a host of friends.
Out of respect for Mr. Boggs wishes, there will be no public service at this time.
Cumberland Valley Funeral Home of Cumberland, Kentucky is Honored to Serve the Boggs/Davis Family.
