Frank Abascal, JR, age 89, of Cumberland, KY, entered eternal rest on Thursday, February 6, 2020.
He was born on November 4, 1930, unto the union of the late Frank, SR and Mary Abascal.
He believed in the Catholic faith and was a member of the Church of the Resurrection in Lynch, KY. He was a Veteran of the Armed Forces, a member of the V.F.W. Post 5171 in Cumberland, KY and retired US Steel worker.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Sophia Kunkel.
Frank leaves to mourn his passing, wife, Janie Abascal of Cumberland, KY, sisters, Mary Francis Newkirk of New Haven, Indiana, Josephine Gluszek of Knoxville, Tennessee, special niece, Nora Pace of Pensacola, Florida, two other nieces and two other nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 9, 2020, at 11 a.m. in the Cumberland Valley Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will immediately follow at 1 p.m. with Rev. Rod Raleigh officiating.
Burial will be in the Monte Vista Cemetery in Cumberland, KY with full Military rites provided by the Harlan County Honor Guard.
