Edna Grace Lane went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at the age of 93. Edna lived more than seventy years on her beloved farm outside Sullivan Gardens. She faithfully attended Poplar Grove Baptist Church and was a member of her community, helping many friends and family in various ways. She was a wonderful cook and loved to prepare meals for family and friends.
Edna was preceded in death by her mother, Artie Fowler Moore; her father, George Dewey Moore; brothers, EB Moore, JD Moore, Willard Moore; sister, Shirley Moore Dykes; sons, Robert and Paul Fox; grandsons, Donnie Dixon and Justin Dixon.
She is survived by daughters, Peggy Fox Johnson of Abingdon, VA and Judy Fox Dixon and husband, Donnie of Gordon, KY; two sisters, Evelyn Penix of Chuckey and Pauline Penix of Flatrock, MI; sister-in-law, Judy Moore; grandchildren, Jason Taylor, Patrick Johnson, Robert Joseph Fox, Julie Wertherington and Jenna Breitweiser and their spouses; eleven great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and special niece, Barbara Gail Young.
The family would like to express a special heartfelt thanks to the Tri-Cities Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Cumberland, KY and Bluegrass Hospice for the wonderful care provided during Mother’s illness.
The family will receive friends on Friday, May 23, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Oscar Irvin and Brother Donnie Dixon officiating.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Lovelace Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jason Taylor, Jacob Taylor, Patrick Johnson, Robert Joseph Fox, Jackson Fox, Trevor Breitweiser, Nick Wertherington, Matthew Penix and Larry Holden.
The family request that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Lovelace Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 930 Ryan Rd., Fall Branch, TN 37656.
