Doyle Back

Doyle Back, age 64 of Gordon, Kentucky, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, September 28, 2024.  He was born on January 4,1960 in Lynch, Kentucky to the union of the late Burchess and Eunice Davidson Back.  

Doyle was a retired auto mechanic for Ford Motor Company in Lexington, Kentucky.  He enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, and carpentry work.  He was full of life, always playing around having fun with his family and friends.    He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.  He was so very proud of them all. 
 

He is preceded in death by his brother, Wayne Back.

He is survived by his loving wife of forty-three years, Angela Marie “Angie” Back, son, Doyle O’Neil Back III, daughters, Christina Marie Thixton, Holly Ann Wright, sisters, Tena Smith, Sarah Kelly, Louann Fouts, ten grandchildren, Austin (Claudia) Holland, Jacob Holland, Pvt. Joshua Holland, Jeremiah Bishop, Tristan Salzman, Elizabeth Steffens, Preston Back, Pvt. Michael Back, Bentley Back, Rylee Back and one great grandchild, Cecelia Holland, his dogs, Dexter, Baxter, Dumus and Boo, a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 30, 2024, beginning at 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Cumberland Valley Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will begin on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Brother Lee Roy Kelly officiating.

A private family burial will follow.
