Delores Ann Cornett was a caring, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend. She left this world suddenly on Thursday, March 18, 2021, at her home in the arms of her husband, Glenn. She was 65 years young.
She was born on the seventeenth of July 1955, unto the union of the late, Henry and Ollie Maggard in Perry County, Kentucky.
Delores loved spending time in the kitchen, creating delicious meals for her family. She was a devoted Christian, who filled her house with God’s word. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, canning, and taking care of her beautiful flowers. She was a member of the Hurricane Valley Primitive Baptist Church.
Her cheerful attitude and bright smile will be missed in our community.
Left to cherish her memory, husband, Pastor Glenn Cornett, daughter, Stephanie Sherman of Lynch, KY, stepdaughter, April Joy (James) Smith of Gordon, KY, brothers, George (Patricia) Meeks of Clarksville, Tennessee, Larry (Phyllis) Maggard of Pineville, KY, James Maggard of Gordon, KY, sister, Shirley Smith of Cumberland, KY, grandchildren, Abby, Peyton, Matthew, Micah, Allison, and Morgan.
Visitation will be Friday, March 19, 2021, at Cumberland Valley Funeral Home at 4 p.m. with Prayer service starting at 6 p.m., Visitation will continue all day Saturday, March 20, 2021, at the Hurricane Valley Primitive Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be Sunday, March 21, 2021, at the Church beginning at 1 p.m. with Pastor Glenn Cornett, Brothers, Donnie Dixon, Dwight Lewis, Randy “Pokey” Dixon and Fred Frazier officiating.
Burial will follow in the East Haven Cemetery at Gordon, KY.
