Delois Faye (Lewis) Birchfield

Delois Faye Birchfield, age 83, of Cumberland, Kentucky, entered the Kingdom of Heaven on Monday, February 28, 2022, at the Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital.

She was born unto the union of the late Henry and Mary Jane Cornett Lewis in Gilley, KY on October 8, 1938.   She was married for sixty-four years to the love of her life, the late Ervin Birchfield.  Delois was a loving mother, homemaker, and member of the Sandhill Baptist Church.  She enjoyed puzzles, crocheting, but was known for being the best cook ever.   She was a devoted and faithful servant of God.  She loved going to church and reading her Bible.    It saddens us today that we have lost her, but we rejoice in knowing she has become an Angel in Heaven and now reunited with loved ones gone on before, no more pain or suffering.  She will be forever missed.

Preceding Delois in death, daughter, Debra Jean Birchfield, sister, Irene Cornett, brothers, Billy Joe and Ray Lewis, grandchildren, Shayna Birchfield, and Joe Eldridge.

Left to honor her memory, daughters, Patricia Birchfield North, Brenda (Tommy) Bridges, Lynn (Eugene) Johnson, son, Jeffrey (Andrea) Birchfield, sisters, Imogene Halcomb and Wanda Fox, sister-in-law, Grace Lewis, grandchildren, Kristina (William Foutch) Birchfield, Robin (Cody) Webb, Joshua Johnson, Matthew (Janelle) Johnson, great grandchildren, Harper Birchfield, Gunner Webb and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 1st, 2022, beginning at 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. at the Sandhill Baptist Church.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at 11 A.M. at the church with Brothers, Jimmy Jenkins, Mark Lewis, and Dennis Williams officiating.
 

Burial will follow in the Lewis Family Cemetery in Gordon, Kentucky.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
