Delbert J. Fields, age 47, known to most as “Tex”, entered eternal peace on Saturday, June 12, 2021.
He was born to the union of Delbert and Wanda Carol Tackett Fields on October 4, 1973, in Benham, Kentucky. He was a graduate of Cumberland High School and later received training to become a certified nurse assistant, where he had worked for Pine Meadows Health Care in Lexington, KY.
Tex enjoyed NASCAR racing and was an avid fisherman. He believed in the Baptist faith and was a member of the Central Baptist Church in Cumberland, KY. He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. His parting has surely left a void in the hearts of his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Delbert Fields.
Left to cherish his memory, mother, Wanda Carol Tackett Fields, wife, Tracey Fields, daughters, Whitney (Allen) McBee, Maria Fields, Adriana Fields, Hazel Fields, Brooklyn Fields, son, Cody Fields, brothers, Micheal (Angie) Fields, and Brad (Charity) Fields, three grandchildren, Carson, Kenzi, Klardi McBee.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 15, 2021, at Cumberland Valley Funeral Home from 6 – 8 p.m. with Church services at 7 p.m.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at 11 a.m. from the funeral home with Rev. Roger Colinger officiating.
Burial will follow in the Meade Fields Cemetery in Cowan, Kentucky.
