Daryl Tyrone Atkinson

Daryl Tyrone Atkinson, passed away on March 23rd, 2016, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center, Lexington, KY.

He was born on August 26, 1954, in Lynch, KY, unto the late Otis Atkinson and Ardella Brassell Pollard. He was born in Lynch, Kentucky, where he had worked as a coal miner and believed in the Baptist faith.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his three siblings: Ann Stephens, Janice Smith, and Elbert Pollard Jr.
He will be remembered by his five children, Daryl Tyrone Atkinson, Andrew Atkinson, and Brian Atkinson all of Columbus, Ohio, Chantelle Atkinson of Hazard, KY and Neveah Henson Atkinson of Cumberland, KY. He is also survived by four siblings: Rhonda Tatum of Ellenwood, Georgia, Sonya Atkinson, Carla Atkinson Joseph, and Tony Atkinson all of Louisville, KY, six grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 26, 2016, at Johnson Funeral Home in Lynch, KY at 10 a.m. with Funeral Services following at 11 a.m. with Rev. Ronnie Hampton officiating.
Burial will follow in the Jacob Creech Cemetery in Cumberland, KY.
