Clarence Raymond Hart

Clarence Raymond Hart, age 89 of Benham, Kentucky, passed from this life on Thursday, June 29, 2017, at the Pikeville Medical Center.

He was born on October 9, 1927, unto the union of the late George & Mildred Gardner in Scylerville, New York. He believed in the Baptist faith and was a retired power lineman for the Cumberland Rural Electric Company. He was a World War II Army Veteran that received a WWII Victory Medal and former Commander of the VFW Post #5171.

He leaves to mourn his passing, wife, Hazel Hart of Benham, Kentucky and son, Clyde Michael Hart of Meridian, Connecticut, step-son, William Myers of Cumberland, KY, step-daughter, Ruth Myers of Philmont, New York, sister, Mildred Gardner of Michigan, nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Sunday evening from 5-7 p.m. at the Cumberland Valley Funeral Home in Cumberland, KY with Funeral services beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Burial will take place Monday, July 3, 2017, at the D.L. Creech Cemetery in Cumberland, KY with Military rites beginning at 11 a.m. There will be no services at the funeral home that day. Friends and Family will meet at the cemetery.
