Charles Lewis, age 78, of Lynch, passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at the Tri-Cities Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Cumberland, Kentucky following a long illness.
He was born on May 22, 1946, unto the union of the late Floyd and Chelcie Shepherd Lewis in Benham, Kentucky.
Charles is also preceded in death by his brothers, James, David, Teddy, Larry and Aster Lewis, sister, Reda Lewis, sister-in-law, Sharon Lewis, nephews, Lil’ Jimmy and Leon Lewis.
He was a lifelong resident of Harlan County, believed in the Pentecostal faith and was a self-employed repairman. He served his country in the Armed Forces. Charles enjoyed fishing, searching for ginseng, and loved the mountains. His spirit will always be remembered by family and friends.
He leaves to mourn his passing, sister, Shirley Smith of Bristol, Tennessee, brother, Terry Lewis of Lynch, Kentucky, nephews, Rocky, Danny, and Allen Lewis, nieces, Christy, Chelcia, Tammy, Elsie, Donna, Crystal, a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 29th, at 1:30 pm at the Bullock Overlook in the Kingdom Come State Park.
