Carla Yvonne "Popeye" Allen

Carla Yvonne “Popeye” Allen, age 56, of Rasnick Street in Cumberland, KY, passed from this life Saturday, September 10th, 2016, at the Hazard Appalachian Regional Hospital in Hazard, KY.

She was born on February 6, 1960, in Lynch, KY. She earned her Master's Degree and beame a caseworker for Benham Comprehensive Care Center in Benham, KY. She was a loving and caring lady that lived life to its fullest.

She is preceded in death by her Mother, Betty Marshall, grandmother, Eva Allen, sister, Charmaine Marshall and brother, William Marshall.

She leaves to mourn her passing, Father, Alexander Dunson of Columbus, Ohio, her life-long companion, Ravern Whitt of Cumberland, KY, daughters, Kelly Allen and Stephanie Whitt both of Lexington, KY, brother, Leonard Allen of Houston, Texas, sister, Teresa Allen of Lexington, KY, special friend, Lisa Kyle of Harlan, KY, grandchildren, Jasmine and Jade Washington of Lexington, KY, special niece, Eva Cook of Lynch, KY & special nephews, Terry Wilson of Louisville, KY and Deznic Allen of Lexington, KY, a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends also survive.

A memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 17th, 2016, at 1 p.m. at the Front Porch at the Southeast Community College.
