Bobby Dewayne Lewis, 86, of Partridge, Kentucky passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 14,1935 in Partridge KY.  He was a graduate of Whitesburg High School and Pikeville College.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Irvin and Madge Lewis of Partridge KY; and his wife of 40 years, Betty Raleigh Lewis and his brother, Lonnie Lewis.

Bob will be remembered for his never-ending service to the Community.  Bob was a schoolteacher, served on the Board of Education, Coach, County Magistrate, and Postmaster.  Bob’s lifelong passion was running Bob and Betty’s Grocery Store in Partridge and felt like all of his customers were his family.  Bob was never happier than when he was in the store with people around him and trading stories.  He was so happy during his last visit to see all of his friends and the store open and full of life. While he will be missed, his spirit and heart will always be part of the store and to see it continue to serve the community he believed in, meant everything to him.

Bob lived life to the fullest and enjoyed many special moments with his companion, Debbie Greene.   He loved telling stories, dancing, gardening, bird watching, traveling, mowing grass, keeping in touch with friends on Facebook, and taking care of his dog, Tucker

He is survived by his sister, Madge Jenkins, brother, Ronald Lewis, daughters, Karen (Paul), Hendrickson of Partridge KY, and Kimberly (Dan) McNeil of Louisville.

He is also survived by five grandchildren: Stephen and Josh Hendrickson, Cassie, Karly and Cameron McNeil, five great grandchildren Leah, Toby, Caleb, Paisley, and Paxton.

At Bob’s request there will be no funeral service and a memorial will be placed inside the store.
