Billy Ray Wilson

Billy Ray Wilson age 63 of Cumberland, Kentucky passed away unexpectedly on December 10, 2023.   He was born in Leslie County, Kentucky on March 24, 1960.   

Formerly working as a stable hand on a horse farm, he had an outgoing personality, which gave him many friends.  He enjoyed UK Basketball, fishing and playing cards, visiting the local neighborhood bar listening to old southern rock and roll music, while enjoying a cold beer.  Billy loved his daughters very much and enjoyed his time with grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jerry Elvin, Sr. and Polly Banks Wilson, brothers, Jerry Elvin Wilson, Jr., James Wilson.

Left to cherish his memory, daughters, Sara (Leah) Wilson Snider of Clarksville, Indiana, Crystal Wilson and fiancé Clem Shepherd of Slemp, Kentucky, brother, Dewey Wilson of Cumberland, Kentucky, grandsons, Josiah Combs, Zadrein Combs, Dennis Wilson, Josh Brock, granddaughters, Brenda Hope Brock, Litresa Shepherd, great grandchildren, Lucy Wilson and Cillian Wilson, a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday, December 16th, 2023, at 12 noon at the Cumberland Valley Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will follow at 1 p.m. with Elder Glenn Cornett officiating.
